Urban Legends Essay
What would you say if I told you that I knew a man died from lung cancer no big deal right? However what if I told you that he once worked at the tobacco company named Marlboro and was an advertiser of that company would that perhaps make you say, “Wow really.” This is a true urban legend that happened and my source is checkable just go to www.snopes.com and click on the icon that has tobacco or smoking then look for the Marlboro incident. Urban Legends are real sometimes I think it quite interesting the way human nature tends to gravitate toward these wicked predicaments I’m here to tell you about just a few of these unpredictably, unbelievable predicaments, starting right now.
My first look into the bizarre starts with a very hilarious but super unusual thank you note, thank you notes are not at all bizarre you idgit who’s writing this but I’ll let the story speak for itself. Ten days after the biggest bank heist in Japan’s history the thieves send a thank you note saying, “thank you very much for the bonus we can live on this money for life.” Is this true well let’s see Status: true. Most definitely the funniest thing I’ve ever read you got to admit they were fools for sending it but ingenuous to still not get caught.
My second urban legend starts in the most talked about place in the world right now, where could this be leading you may ask? Well duh the Middle East in Israel to be specific it all starts when the Coca cola and Pepsi Company decided not to do business with Israel. Israel then blamed the Coca Cola and Pepsi Company as well as Pepsi Company that they were anti-Semitic in Israel for refusing to do business. The status: True I cannot tell a lie I swear this is true and I might admit a really awesome accusation on Israel’s part but enough of this onto the next Urban legend the best one too if I do say so myself.
This story really is unbelievable despite what those others may have seemed like this one is a really that can’t be true… Choir practice always starts at 7:20 but at 7:25 Wednesday evening March 1, 1950 an explosion demolished the church, forced a nearby radio station off the air, and shattered the surrounding houses windows, but every one of the choir’s fifteen members escaped injury. How is that possible? Very simple actually they were all late. The weirdest thing is some of them just didn’t wake up on time, some had car trouble, and the pastor’s daughter had to finish some homework. Every reason so simple it’s weird. Of course the choir members consider it as an act of God but what an unbelievable story. Status: true
In the end these series of unbelievable accounts all are urban legends and true. Take some more consideration in the rumors you hear and try to make sense of them one of them could be true.

Media Awareness for kids
I recently learned from a survey that 1,200 kids would rather have a t.v. show about their own race, Black want the-black,white want the-white,and etc. So if I were to make a television program that's funny but has real life situations.Setting would be a common household and it's many problems. Ratings would be A1 audience would be all people I would air the show A.S.A.P. Content would be for both adults and children because As a director I would have so much too work with. Also thats the big thing in hollywood but I would have one big challenge just putting in all the races it would belike freedom writers though. Something amazingly heroic and inspires others to acheive great things.

Inside Media

Doom my favorite of all time video games. THat's right I'm going to talk badly about video games, especially Doom. Did u know that video games are now being used to train Marine corps. That's right the marines the best army in the world so what does that mean for children who play the game is it any less dangerous of course not dont be an idiot. Video games aren't the problem its people without any common sense i personally think that. Students blame video games whe they kill sometimes. Whatever was in that game i'm sure didn't tell you to go kill people period. This next pixture of Micheal Phelp's i have nothing against you Micheal it's just that well I'm sorry bro that's not just plain busted that's a felony. Doesn't exactly set a good example for the little kids. This next picture is the bomb.

Media has too good a knack for making something like this actually enjoyable too watch dont you agree?

What about hip hop?
I agree Hip hop is a creative art form of music and expression. I also believe that people can inspire others with hip hop and that if we aren't careful hip hop could take children in places they don't need to go. Recently I've been studying hip hop in class and yes it was for class. The main point is hip hop influences but before it wasn't the hip hop that we see today it was a great inspiration to the black communnity during the dark period of slavery and Jim Crow laws. A favorite quote of mine is "It's only-at the end of the day, it's just entertainment" by Jadakiss,Rapper. The problem is young children of today see it as what they must do and become in order to survive. Which is in truth an unreality leading children down the wrong path, and children hold the future of tomorrow in their hands if they're going the wrong way where do you think the world will go.Which brings me to a question should rappers be more responsible or should the media check itself before it goes too far,or should parents rethink what their children are allowed to watch? This is a really important question that I think should be taken seriously, the media might just be the end of us, or we ourselves are more thank likely to blame. Because if we didn't let them watch it i bet you media wouldn't show it because most adults I know don't really like the hip hop. Now hip hop isn't bad it's just you should really think about what I've said.

Men and Women advertisements
I just recently learned that women aren't important in the world of advertising. That the advertisers make them out to be submissive, weak, and impossibly beautiful, this is unfair to the normal people who are not models to look upon these goddesses of beauty and think I must look like that in order for some one to like me. Masculinity is connected to the women's degradation of the female advertisements. Men are the exact opposite of the women in advertisements. The men in advertisements are portrayed as the Greek God Adonis strong, masculine, and every woman's desire: pecks, bulgy arms, and a nice but. Ladies and gentlemen this is but a tip of the ice berg for what we see and what you watch you will try to do. Which is why women in society are not what they could be they are downsized by man, who treat women worse than crap. Men get their ego's from what they see and what they are taught and what do men and women do at the age of 6+ watches TV. This only proves my point that the society that we are currently living of off is what we see on TV. and what we try to achieve is not attainable by all I'll have you know. Not all people can attain that certain size you once were the reason is your bones just aren't made that way anymore your structure changes as you age. Think about it can you fit into a shoe size of 3 anymore now that you where a size 7 no, not even weight size can change that. All im saying is maybe it time we rethought what we put in our heads and change some of the things that go on the television.
